OpenCode has a paid plan called Go at $10/month. On the free side, there are six models you can use. The list below is from today's official docs; it may change later.
The free lineup
1. MiMo-V2.5 Free — from Xiaomi; fast at writing code
2. Ling 3.0 Flash Fin Free — finance-oriented; handy for Chinese-language reports
3. Nemotron 3 Ultra Free — NVIDIA's larger model; good for big rewrites
4. Nemotron 3.5 Lightning Free — NVIDIA's lightweight one; for everyday use
5. Muse Spark 1.3 Contributor Free — from Meta; the cheapest, but with strings attached
6. Big Pickle — little info from the official page; keep it as a backup
The fine print on free models
Each free model comes with conditions. From the official site:
Xiaomi and Ling: data collected during the free period may be used to improve the models. The two NVIDIA models: the page says trial use only — don't submit personal or confidential data. Meta's Muse: the terms say prompts and outputs will be used to train future models; it's also the only one with "Yes" in the training column.
Free models are fine for public practice; don't upload company or client data.
What the paid Go plan is
$10/month, and the difference is volume: DeepSeek, for example, allows 60,000+ uses a month on Go, which the free tier can't provide. No getting cut off mid-session. Start with the free models; once they click, consider paying.
